2022 marks the 10th year anniversary of our beloved Vintec Club. This year, we are going to celebrate it in style! We have created a once-in-a-life-time experience for our members in Burgundy, France. Our Vintec Club Manager ANZ- Alexis Desbrugeres is here to share with us more about this special event.
VC: Vintec is nearly 10 years old, how is the birthday party going to look like?
AD: Yes, you’re right! In 2022, we are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Vintec Club. To celebrate this huge milestone, the team is organising its most exciting and most ambitious event to date: its first experience overseas, in Burgundy, France.
Eighteen lucky Vintec Club Members will be taken on a six-day journey in arguably, the most prestigious wine region in the world. A program like you've never seen, visiting boutique wineries that rarely open to the public and immersing in the French Art de Vivre. We’re very excited.
Vosne-Romanée is well-known for its red wine with Pinot Noir as the main grape. Locating in Côte de Nuits of Burgundy, Vosne-Romanée is an attraction that Burgundy Tour will visit this time.
VC: Can you tell us more about how the team came up with this idea?
AD: Organising an event overseas is an old dream the team has always had and that Members, have always expressed and even more so lately, when we discovered wines from around the world during the virtual @Home Tastings. For that reason, we decided to take this opportunity to do something special for our members to thank them for being a part of the Vintec Club family.
Other than that, we also want to show our Members and any wine lovers that the Vintec Club is a place where you get access to exceptional and unique wine experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

VC: Why was Burgundy chosen as the place for this special celebration?
AD: Burgundy is one of the most prestigious wine regions in the world – birthplace of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; home to some of the most iconic wines and appellations in the world. Think Gevrey-Chambertin, Pommard, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet… Burgundy is a dream to visit for every wine lover on Earth.
That being said, Burgundy might be also the most confidential wine region in the world, with wineries barely opening to the general public! Their wines are sought-after by all wine lovers and the demand has reached heights never seen before. We clearly didn’t choose the easiest region for this 1st experience overseas.
Thankfully, the team has a very strong network of local partners that has helped us putting together this very exciting program. I really want to thank Alexandre Rougeot, son of the Rougeot Family winemakers in Meursault and long-time friend of Vintec. Indeed, Alex is also importer of fine French wines based in Melbourne and being from Burgundy and son of a local winemaker family in Burgundy, he has been a key player in helping the VC putting together this amazing experience.

VC: We can’t wait any longer for the details of the tour! Can you share?
AD: Of course! The tour will happen from Sunday 3rd July to Friday 8th July 2022 in Burgundy, France. Starting in Dijon, we will discover the Route des Grands Crus - travel through Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, visiting boutique wineries based in Beaune, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Vosne-Romanée and Volnay.
